Periodontist Dr. Plessett
Dr. David N. Plessett received his B.A. degree from Pennsylvania State University, his D.D.S. degree from Temple University Dental School and his Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania and Boston University. Dr. Plessett was an Associate Clinical Professor in Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School for 25 years where he was elected to OKU, a dental honorary society. He also has been a Dental Consultant for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Pennsylvania and is Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at York Hospital and Chief of the Department of Periodontology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, York County Dental Society and Fellow of the American College of Dentists, as well as a member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Plessett was certified in the placement of Branemark implants in 1985. He has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career for his work in dentistry and periodontics. He has lectured nationally on periodontics and dentistry. Dr. Plessett regularly attends continuing education courses and is on the cutting age of technological develops in the areas of Periodontics and Implants.
