Insurance

Please bring any dental information/card with you to your appointments.

If you carry dental insurance, there are aspects of your coverage that are important for you to understand. Usually our services are covered under your dental benefits. There are often times when patients anticipate that their dental benefits will pay their portion several days after a procedure is performed. Most dental insurance companies will respond to a claim within four to six weeks.

Dental benefits differ from medical benefits because there is always an annual maximum dollar amount that your insurance company will pay, along with possibly a deductible. As soon as you reach your maximum, your dental benefits no longer cover any of your dental care for the remainder of the calendar year. Therefore, look at your dental benefits as an allowance of dollars you may use toward your care during a twelve-month period. Most insurance carriers use the period of January 1st to January 1st. The range of coverage varies greatly among plans. Some dental plans may not provide coverage for periodontal treatment, so you may want to contact your dental carrier to see what type of periodontal coverage you have. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your dental benefits.
